1. Agreement and eligibility
By accessing or creating a PerfectShelf account, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. You must be able to enter a binding agreement where you live and control the Steam account you connect. Do not use another person’s Steam identity or provide false account information.
2. The service
PerfectShelf is an independent, read-only showcase for games perfected on Steam. Its private Achievement Planner lets an activated user select any number of in-progress games from the same cached library data and organize personal Completion Plans with sections, notes, optional saved YouTube links and game resource bookmarks. It also retains a completed-plan stub for each perfected shelf game. PerfectShelf uses Steam OpenID to prove profile ownership and public Steam services to build these cached views. It is not a game platform, Valve product or Steam reseller.
You authorize PerfectShelf to retrieve and cache the Steam Data described in the Privacy Policy. Free provides one owner-requested refresh every rolling seven days. While a Trial Membership or Membership is active, that request instead includes an automatic refresh scheduled at the start of each UTC hour. Page views, alert reads and Planner writes read cached data and do not trigger Steam calls.
3. 7-day Trial Membership
After the first successful shelf build, verification of one unique registered email starts a one-time, SteamID-bound Trial Membership lasting exactly 7 consecutive days (168 hours). No payment method is required, the Trial Membership does not auto-renew, and no charge occurs when it ends. A paid or granted Membership immediately closes remaining trial time and voids any unused trial opportunity unless support restores it.
Trial Members receive the same current product features as Members, but trial capabilities may change in the future. Trial and referral abuse, duplicate email use or attempts to reset a one-time offer may be rejected.
4. Paid Membership offers
Paid checkout is not yet enabled. At launch, the planned offers are:
- $5.00 USD every 30 days. This is an exact 30-day recurring term from the checkout timestamp, not a calendar-month subscription.
- $50.00 USD every 365 days. This is an exact 365-day recurring term from the checkout timestamp, not a calendar-year subscription.
Each offer auto-renews for the same interval until canceled. Before payment, checkout will show the applicable currency conversion, tax, total, recurring interval and first/next charge date. The Merchant of Record may collect and remit taxes and will appear as the seller and billing descriptor. Your receipt and customer portal will show the next renewal date after purchase.
Price changes will be disclosed before a future renewal and will not retroactively change an already-paid term.
5. Cancellation, refunds and Membership end
You may cancel auto-renewal at any time through the customer portal once checkout is available. Cancellation stops the next renewal and normally leaves Membership active through the end of the already-paid 30- or 365-day term. It does not automatically create a prorated refund. The separate Refund & Cancellation Policy explains refund requests and mandatory consumer rights.
When Membership ends, the account returns to Free. The public shelf, achievement galleries, unlimited private Planner, notes, videos, bookmarks and in-app alerts remain available. Completion Cards, Share Studio, shelf curation, game-banner controls and hourly automatic refresh pause; saved presentation choices remain retained for a future Membership.
6. Referrals and credits
Referral attribution is permanent after a valid first-touch qualification. Points and redemptions use an append-only ledger. PerfectShelf may reject self-referrals, duplicate identities, fraud or manipulation and may add compensating corrections without rewriting history. Referral Membership credits are not cash, cannot be transferred, and have no cash value.
7. Steam Data and third-party services
Steam profile visibility, Steam services, game publishers, content availability and third-party providers are outside PerfectShelf’s control. Games can add achievements, disappear, change artwork or return incomplete data. You remain responsible for your Steam account and compliance with the Steam Subscriber Agreement.
PerfectShelf does not warrant that Steam Data is complete, current or error-free. If Valve or another provider changes, suspends or requires cessation of access, PerfectShelf may modify, suspend or discontinue affected features or the service.
8. Acceptable use
Do not attack, scrape at unreasonable volume, reverse engineer protected systems, bypass Membership controls, interfere with queues or billing, submit malicious content, abuse support, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, or use PerfectShelf unlawfully. Public shelf URLs may be shared, but access to nonpublic owner and administrative surfaces is prohibited without authorization.
9. Ownership
PerfectShelf owns its original software, branding and presentation. Valve owns Steam, the Steam Web API, Steam Data and Valve branding; game artwork, names and achievement assets remain the property of Valve and their respective publishers or owners. No ownership in those materials transfers to you or PerfectShelf. You retain rights in content you submit and grant PerfectShelf permission to process it only as needed to operate the service.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using PerfectShelf and request deletion through support. We may suspend or terminate access for fraud, abuse, unlawful conduct, security risk, nonpayment, provider requirements or material violation of these Terms. Where practical, we will give notice and a chance to correct the issue. Ending the service does not erase obligations or records that must survive for refunds, disputes, accounting, fraud prevention or legal compliance.
11. Disclaimers and liability
PerfectShelf is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and do not promise uninterrupted operation, permanent availability, specific achievement counts or preservation of third-party data. To the maximum extent permitted by law, PerfectShelf will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages. Nothing here excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms as the product, law or providers change. Material changes will be posted before they take effect where reasonably possible. Questions may be sent to support@perfectshelf.app.
